Barton Morfee: Pugs can have some breathing problems because of their short snouts and their eyes can pop out of their heads if there's too much pressure...
Herma Ellebrecht: Pugs are prone to breathing difficulties due to their squashed up faces. They also have issues with knees & elbows slipping out of place & heart defects should be cheeked for. If you plain on buying a Pug be VERY picky about the breeder you need to be very strong about health cheeks being up to date on the parents & find out as much as you can about their past litters.
Sheldon Lally: Here is a very informative link that I hope answers all of your questions about Pugs and health issues.http://www.pugvillage.com/pughealth_main.htm
Hilde Heskett: Well, Im not quite sure what you mean by past pug health problems but here's what I can tell you. By virtue of the fact pugs have impossibly cute pushed in little faces, they tend to battle sinus problems and their wrinkles can cause skin pro! blems if they're not kept clean. Doesnt sound like much but I hope it helps a little anyway.
