Jorge Detlefs: Well, when travelling to any big city, New York City included, it's always a good idea to check out that city's magazine, in this case, "New York Magazine," for dining and entertainment suggestions, etc.So, the link below is to the Dining and Entertainment pages of the NY Magazine website, where I'm sure you'll find lots of good ideas, and, while you're on their website, take a look around at all the other good stuff they have there, too......Show more
Willie Tun: try this site, it has bus tours, cruises, museums and other fun stuff. http://www.citysightsny.com/
Elva Batie: One place you should really go (just to say you've been there) is the Brown Palace hotel -- there are a couple of good restaurants in there (the Palace Arms and a tavern-style one), or you could just go for high tea. Del Frisco's is popular here for steaks (I think they also have restaurants in TX, NV and NY, but I'm not sure that it would qualify as a "chain"). There's a pla! ce called Nono's Cafe that has some really good Cajun and Southern-style food. Try Illegal Pete's, Chipotle or Qdoba if you're in a hurry and want to grab a quick burrito or something like that. For breakfast, the Egg and I or the Original Pancake House. Another local place that's always good (and always crowded) is Tom's Home Cookin' -- I know you said you're not concerned about cost, but if you're wanting some good comfort food you should try it. Another place along those same lines is Bonnie Brae Tavern. Little Holly's and John Holly's have great Chinese food, and I love Buca di Beppo for Italian. LoDo's is a lot of fun if you're interested in the bar scene (the food's not terrible either). Just promise you won't go to Casa Bonita like someone else suggested -- no offense to them, but it's pretty bad. Have fun in Denver and bon appetit!!...Show more
