Scot Sepulbeda: I think gaming is one of the lease expensive hobbies out there. I game and do art as hobbies, and art is FAR more expensive than gaming.I usually get a gaming console for Christmas, so I only spend the money on a couple of games a year, so around $80. You can play them over and over again, years after you bought them. I still have a working Gameboy Colour and Tetris, and they're very old for technology. As for Art...the supplies can be ridiculous for pricing. Machines can be several hundred dollars and their parts are expensive when you need to fix them. Supplies run out very fast and they're not cheap either. You can't really re-use your art unless you make a doll or plush. But in all honesty, would I give up art because it's crazy expensive? No, I never would. I love art just like I love gaming. Are they expensive? Yeah, they are. But if you love doing something, you don't mind as much when spending money on it. If you're worried too much about costs on y! our hobby, then you may not like your hobby as much as you thought you did....Show more
Emeline Albracht: Yeah. Its only expensive if you buy a new game every week. But i wish the games were cheaper. Some games are no where near worth the money they charge.
Mikel Bethay: every hobby is expensive, doesnt matter what it is.as long as you enjoy it,then its all good.hope this helps.
Karl Jantzen: No, because one game keeps me satisfied for a very long time. I also replay old games a lot instead of letting them collect dust on the shelf. I only buy a new video game once or twice a year, and I try to buy them pre-owned whenever I can.
Wally Gower: I never have. I don't spend much on gaming though, almost all of my games are pre-owned, and i tend to get new consoles a few years after they've released for about half the launch price. Gaming is cheap compared to some hobbies e.g. i go paintballing occasionally which costs quite a lot.
David Kuper: No bec! ause gaming is a very effective balance of cost to hours of en! tertainment. You can keep playing games over and over, trying out new things, getting achievements or playing in multiplayer.
Jeannetta Gaffigan: it is pretty expensive. especially when you are a pc gamer. a good pc costs $700+, and that will be outdated in a few years, then you have to spend more money on better pc parts XD
Oscar Waddups: No not really ye sure its expensive but i enjoy it, i enjoy the idea of being able to do something i couldnt in real life. I enjoy using multiplayer with my friends and sharing the experience, i enjoy watching games develop and grow and using different consoles. Sure it takes a lot of money away but that is what fuels the industry as a whole. As a hobby it is expensive but if im enjoying myself its worth it. Sure its not the only thing i do I play sports and skate as well but thats my main hobby and its worth every single ******* penny....Show more
Donnie Bolio: You can have more than one hobby. Gaming can be a fairly c! heap hobby compared to other hobby's like music where you are spending thousands of dollars on instruments and equipment. And if you have a PC, gaming is even less expensive when you have games for 75% off on steam. I probably have bought 30 games in the past year on there and only spent $200 at the most. But when you think about it, what modern hobbies ARE cheap?...Show more
Luis Farlow: no not at all i love video games and will till the day i diei grew up playing them and the quality is better and better every time i buy a new gamewith games getting better and better i just love it so muchi would never ever wish for a cheaper hoby ever...Show more
