Kim Gerbino: well she contests the divorce and you have to beg the judge to grant you one based on all her mental illness problems that she has caused you.
Bethany Blocker: While the denial of a divorce won't stop the proceedings, the denial will draw out the process much longer. If your wife does not appear in court, then eventually the court system will grant you what you have requested. However, if she hires an attorney or plays her cards right without an attorney, she can delay the process by quite a long time depending upon the court and state rules.Your best best would be to seek out legal representation if you have not done so already. There may be some remedies that the attorney could seek out for you through the court system to help speed your matter along. You might also check out DadsDivorce.com as they have many articles, videos and Ask A Lawyer Question & Answers that you might find useful on this subject and many others. Lissette Semon: work things outbargain?add more details please
Mikel Bethay: I live in Texas. Also if she does not sign how long will I have to wait before I am granted the divorce without her signature?
Bethany Blocker: Be sure you have an attorney. They will work out the details for you. She doesn't have to sign, as time will sign for her. You'll have to wait a little longer, but the court will eventually grant it after a certain point. There are some states you can go to for quicker divorce without her involvement.
